Fall 2005/2006 Plantings

Corunna Residents:

The Corunna Forestry Commission, in cooperation with the Corunna City Council, has instituted a tree planting program for the City of Corunna. It is our goal to retain our beautiful tree-lined streets! 

Money has been made available to plant trees in the public right-of-way between the sidewalk and the street. This multi-year program will encompass all three wards. The commission began in the fall of 2005 with Ward 1. The 2006 priority is for Ward 3.

Priority will be given to homes that have lost or do not have trees in the public right-of-way. Trees will be planted at no cost to the homeowner.

The variety of trees has been selected by the Corunna Forestry Commission so as to maintain diversity and to reduce the chance of disease or blight destroying the tree population.
