Corunna Board of Review

This Board Currently Has Two Vacancy

The commission meets as required by City Charter and State Law. The March Board of Review for assessment appeals is held on the 2nd and 3rd Wednesdays of March. The standard hours are as follows:
2nd Wednesday: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM & 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM
3rd Wednesday: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM & 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Please call in advance to confirm these times.
The Board also meets annually in February for an Organizational Meeting and again in November for the purpose of correcting clerical errors and omissions.

The commission membership is comprised of Five (5) individuals meeting the eligibility requirements for elective office appointed by the Mayor, subject to confirmation by the Corunna City Council. All members must be residents of the City of Corunna. The term of appointment is for Three (3) years.

As administrative officials of the city, the commission is responsible to the City Manager for the performance of their duties.

 

BY-LAWS

MEMBERSHIP: 5 - All at Large - Must meet requirements for Elective Office (Charter Section 3.1)

RESTRICTIONS: May not be City Officers, Employees, Nominees, or Candidates for Elective Office

TERM OF OFFICE: 3 years

APPOINTMENT: By Mayor, Subject to confirmation of the Council

AUTHORITY: Charter Section 6.13

REGULAR MEETING DATE: By Charter, Chair Elected Anually in February. March BOR is the 2nd Wed & 4th Wed

**All meetings are subject to Open Meetings Act requirements. Meeting must be posted in advance on the city calendar and notices must be sent at least two days prior.**

MINUTES: Proposed minutes are to be submitted to members within 10 days of the meeting. Approved minutes are due to City Hall with 2 days of approval.
